Forecasting

Track project cost forecast by phase

As your project progresses and passes through phases (such as site preparation or foundational works), you'll see exactly how much has been spent and how much is still free in the budget.

Color-coded warnings are easy to spot

A color-coded warning is displayed whenever the contracted cost or total sum of approved expenses exceeds the cost forecast for a single line-item.

The yellow warnings indicate that the contracted cost for the line-item exceeds the cost forecast and lets you immediately take action before the subcontractor sends you the first invoice.

The red warning indicates that the approved expenses exceed the cost forecast and you need to update the cost forecast.

Quickly update the cost forecast for a line-item

To update the project cost forecast, just click edit, and enter the new forecast. You can update the quantities, unit costs, and total costs.

When done, hit save and the yellow and red color-coded warnings will no longer be there.

Fizure also automatically updates your project total cost forecasts and profitability forecast.

One graph to follow project cost and profitability forecast

Each project has a history graph. This is logged automatically and displays all the changes to the budget (including profitability forecast).

Forecast changes are logged

Every change in Fizure is logged. Project’s profitability graph will show you how profitability has been changing over time.

Portfolio profitability forecasts tracking

Fizure lets managers follow their portfolio profitability from a single dashboard.

When the project managers are making daily updates to the costs forecasts (of portfolio projects budgets), you’ll have one dashboard to follow your portfolio's profitability.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Fizure when my project already started?

Yes. We will help you bring over all ongoing projects within a week.

How long does it take to learn how to use Fizure?

In our experience, most project managers get from zero to active usage already during the demo (in one hour).

How can I get subcontractors to use Fizure?

There are two ways for subcontractors to submit pay applications:

  1. You can initiate it in Fizure and send them an email with a template;
  2. You can activate a portal for subcontractors (it's free for everyone) where subcontractors can request pay application on their own.

It doesn't matter which solution you prefer - the portal is still available in multiple languages and it saves time and reduces errors for subcontractors as well.

In our experience subcontractors don't require extra training to use it - it's very straight forward to understand.
